Job: Genius Picasso premiere of National Geographic documentary featured by the production company Formidable in a promo shot in Gran Hotel Miramar and red carpet presentation at Teatro Cervantes in Malaga. The opening ceremny was initially going to happen in Madrid, but Antonio Banderas who is playing Picasso appears to have different idea: “Seeing as they filmed many scenes for the series in Malaga, Picasso’s birthplace, it seemed natural that the premiere should be as close to his home as possible, in the Teatro Cervantes, in an act heavy with symbolism” said the actor, “It’s natural that the premiere should as close to [Picasso’s] home as possible”.
The premiere has ben an important endorsement of Malaga and its culture as Fox and National Geographic invited journalists from all over the world. The actors, directors, series producers and top executives at NG and Fox also attend.
